The workshop, held at the National Water Supply and Sanitation Research, Innovation and Capacity Development Centre (NWSSRICDC) in Nagarkot, was attended by leading government training institutions working at the federal, provincial, and local levels. According to Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO), the workshop was organized to facilitate the exchange of training approaches, good practices, and experiences, as well as to identify opportunities for long-term partnership and collaboration.
The workshop was attended by heads and representatives of major institutions, including the National Water Supply and Sanitation Research, Innovation and Capacity Development Centre (NWSSRICDC), Local Development Training Academy (LDTA), Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC), Technical Training Institute (TTI), and the National Health Training Centre (NHTC), among others.
During the workshop, ENPHO presented its work of more than three decades in the fields of water supply, sanitation and hygiene, public health, environment, and capacity development. The organization also shared its developed training packages, learning materials, and field-based training methodologies. Participating government training institutions likewise presented information on their respective capacity development activities, training priorities, and existing challenges.
As part of the program, training needs, challenges related to training material development, training delivery, impact assessment, and monitoring systems were identified through gallery walks, group discussions, and interactive sessions. Discussions were also held on areas of joint initiatives and collaboration to address the identified challenges.
According to Eng.
